Cooking

Cooking and baking give our students many opportunities to count, measure, learn basic chemistry and so much more. Throughout the week the children explore French culture through delightfully yummy sights, smells, and tastes. Traditionally, the children have learned how to cook classic French recipes like pot de crème, pain á l'escargot (cinnamon rolls) and crêpes as a group! With step-by-step instruction and easy, kid-friendly recipes, our little ‘chefs’ and ‘patissiers’ will be whipping up goodies and soaking up valuable sensory input all semester long. Our Cuisine is not only limited to French favorites, we love taking the opportunity to create fun, delicious, and healthy snack art, too!
